Engage HER on Campus: JCSU Edition - Diverse Voices of Women in the Movement
Johnson C. Smith University Library in partnership with Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will host Engage HER Program: Diverse
Voices of Women In the Movement, a virtual program.
This event will focus on Black Women leadership, activism, and the importance of voting in 2020. The program will feature a keynote address from Congresswoman Alma Adams, and closing remarks by Dr. Willie Griffin, Staff Historian at Levine Museum of the New South.
The Engage HER Program: Diverse Voices of Women In the Movement will
feature a panel discussion with JCSU recent graduates and others active in social movements as well as a special performance by Black Ink Monks, plus music highlighting sounds of the movement and a raffle for giveaways.
